Current Waiting Period is 3 – 6 Weeks. On occasion due to loadshedding, production may take slightly longer depending on product.
We do most local deliveries on Saturdays, thus delivery will be on the Saturday after your product is completed. Delivery by courier is at own risk – Packaging fee applies.

 

 

Houtgoeters T’s and C’s: Delivery

Delivery Period:

  • Deliveries and collections typically occur on Saturdays. Our delivery routes cover various locations across Gauteng. Please note that there is a waiting period of 3 to 6 weeks. This timeframe accounts for the processing of your order and the logistics involved in getting it to you. Rest assured, the actual crafting of your furniture only takes a few days.
  • Local delivery (Pretoria East): R250
  • Delivery to the rest of Pretoria: R350
  • Delivery to JHB: R500 – may vary on area and product
  • Other areas: To be quoted
  • We send out a confirmation quote within a few days after your order was placed. Please ensure all info on the confirmation quote is exactly as discussed, as we don’t refer back to emails and/or WhatsApp messages.
  • Delivery fees can change at any time without prior notice
  • Outlying areas will be charged extra for delivery, for example if you say JHB and you are Alberton, there might be a surcharge.

Courier:

  • Own courier: Courier delivery at own risk, packaging fee required.
  • For outlining areas, please contact info@houtgoeters.co.za or call +27 61 503 6287.
  • However we ensure safe and secure packaging, we do not take any responsibility for the courier – any returns and re-courier fees will be for the customer, this account for using our courier service as well as your own courier service.
  • We make use of any of the following to ensure safe and secure packaging: Bubble wrap – Cardboard – Corrugated cardboard – Pallet wrap. The packaging fee will differ from product to product, and can range between R90 – R350 depending on the item, and will be added to the confirmation quote.

Shortages or Damages:

  • Report any shortages or damages within 24 hours of receiving your merchandise.
  • Provide a detailed explanation of the issue or defect via email, including photographs if possible.
  • It may be possible to replace just a part instead of the entire product, at our discretion.
  • Returned items must be in their original condition with packaging and literature intact, or in similar suitable packaging.
  • We will gladly replace/repair products damaged by a courier company – courier fees both ways will be for the customer’s account.

Self-Assembly Items:

  • We cannot exchange self-assembly items if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
  • If the goods have been tampered with in any way, a refund or replacement can be denied.

 

Collection:

*We prefer collection on a Saturday, and payment in cash if at all possible.

*Please remember to bring along protection material such as blankets, cardboard etc to ensure your perfectly finished product do not scratch

 

 

 

 

Drawers: 

Our drawers are manufactured using 16mm chipboard, which is glued and screwed together, with a 21mm Pine Drawer Front and a 4mm mdf board slid and glued  in machined grooves in between the 4 sides of the drawer. All this combined, gives you a strong combination for a perfect drawer.

*Should you prefer your drawers to be made of 21mm pine completely, please let us know, and we will quote you accordingly

 We only use metal full extension ball bearing runners on all our drawers.

 When you order a product to be painted, please keep in mind we only paint the outside (drawer front) of the drawer, and NOT the the rest of the Drawer

*To paint the rest of the drawer, inside and outside, R150/standard drawer and R200 – R300 for larger drawers 

Delivery Confirmation:

  • Ensure delivery has been confirmed at checkout.
  • Delivery address will be confirmed via email during order processing.
  • Note: We are not responsible for any courier delays due to unexpected changes.
  • We don’t do any refunds once deposit is paid and order confirmed
  • You will receive an email after placing your order (please check your spam box as well), and a confirmation quote on the Monday after your order is placed

 

Paint/Stain:  

* We make use of TimberLife’s Products on most of our products to be painted or stained.

* We use Spray Painting as method to apply all paint/stain products.

*Due to the fact that we are using a wood stain that can be directly applied to the wood, and not a wood primer and paint, the natural lines, grain and oils of the wood might still be visible after stain is applied – this can especially be the case when choosing the option for “white – 2 cotes and sealer”

-we do a lot of effort to have the white as pure as possible – but keep in mind it could not be exactly what you are looking for, you are more than welcome to come and view samples at our showroom in Pretoria East.

*All stained products also receive an extra cote of clear sealer on top of the stain for easy cleaning, and to protect the actual stain.   

*Please note that “White 2 cotes and sealer” is an option on it’s own, and does not fall under “any color stain” as our white stain/paint is twice as expensive and does take a lot more effort to apply.
